CERTIFICATION
ISO 9001:2000
The Cantina di Custoza achieved ISO 9000 certification in 2002 by making a concerted effort towards improving quality, plant control and planning, and in IT systems and training. This date marks a turning point for the company in its aim to be at the leading edge in both domestic and international markets, with a particular focus on quality achieved via the professionalism and organisational skills of its workforce.
ISO 14000
In the same year, 2002, the company also decided to seek certification concerning the environmental impact of its production processes. In fact, the ever increasing number of regulations in this field as well as the company’s intrinsic desire to safeguard and enhance the natural environment, spurred the company into taking this important step, further testifying to its attention to quality at the highest possible level.
BRC & IFS CERTIFICATION
The BRC standard, a model that is already recognised in Great Britain and is increasingly and rapidly being taken up in other European countries, guarantees that the products bearing this symbol have been produced according to a well-defined qualitative standards. The aim of the IFS standard is to encourage the effective selection of food suppliers, certified on the basis of their ability to supply safe products in conformity with contract specifications and legal requirements.
It was a natural choice for the Cantina di Custoza to implement the measures necessary to satisfy the qualitative requirements of overseas markets, and indeed it gained both certifications without undue effort.
